Elders

Darrin was born in Farmington, Michigan. Moved to Brighton in 1976. Grew up in the Brighton Christian Church family. His grandfather helped build the church. He was an Elder and so was his Dad. Darrin has attended church here from the time he was in 4th grade. He met his beautiful wife in the youth group.

Darrin is married to Stacy Kelbert. He has two children. Harrison Kelbert is a senior at Michigan State University, and Mackenzie Kelbert is a senior at Brighton High School. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and living and serving in the community. He has been an elder at BCC now for 8 years.

David and his wife, Jill, have been part of the BCC family for over forty years, and can testify to God’s constant faithfulness to our body in every season.They have two adult sons. Being retired allows David and Jill time to enjoy backyard flower gardens, and take day trips to Michigan’s beautiful lakes, small towns, lighthouses, and endless coastline. David and Jill also serve on the board of Hope House urban ministry in Detroit. A favorite verse that always challenges David is Philippians 3:10: “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings.”
